Job Description

Meals on Wheels Central Texas is hiring a Marketing Director. This position develops diverse marketing and communication initiatives across varied platforms and constituencies to ensure the overall visibility and integrity of Meals on Wheels Central Texas (MOWCTX). The Marketing Director plays a significant role in long-range planning process, business plans, and strategic initiatives. In addition, this role supports all departments for branding, collateral, messaging, and community outreach—ensuring consistency in MOWXTC branding and messaging while nurturing a loyal network of supporters via various strategies including website, paid advertising, email marketing, social media and digital editorial calendar, marketing collateral and third party - cause related marketing events. This position is the frontline of relationship building for the organization and encompasses the discipline of ensuring a productive online and offline community, and will grow the MOWCTX digital audience and assist with developing new avenues for digital content distribution. Some weekends and after hours work are required.

Skills / Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, advertising or related field is required 

Two years’ work experience in a responsible position in digital marketing, advertising, community relations or public relations with proven ability to achieve results

Demonstrated experience in online marketing and content management

Self-starter with strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to contribute individually, and lead, manage or participate in cross-functional teams

Ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable information

Excellent writing and editing skills and knowledge of Associated Press (AP) writing style

Proficiency in email marketing tools, project management tools, Microsoft Office and Content Management Systems

Knowledge of print, traditional (TV and radio) and digital media best practices and procedures

Experience using: Adobe Creative Suite: Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop as well technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

An understanding of audience engagement across all digital platforms, specifically on social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and blogs.

Technical proficiency with computer hardware and software, including Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom and Premiere
