Meals on Wheels Central Texas seeking a Human Resources Intern for spring and fall sessions with an immediate start available for a spring internship. Please note which session you want when you apply.

The Human Resources Intern will directly assist the Vice President for Human Resources and HR Generalist with a wide range of projects related to HR compliance, recruiting, onboarding and orientation, employee benefits, policies and procedures, employee recognition and events, and our HRIS. This internship is designed to be both educational and practical. In this position, the intern will learn how to take skills acquired in school related to their particular areas of interest and apply them in a professional setting. The HR Intern will gain a better understanding of the role that HR plays in a non-profit setting, and be better prepared to work in the area of human resources and the nonprofit sector. The candidate will also have opportunities to network with other programs, departments, and staff.

This is an unpaid internship. This internship requires weekday availability with flexible scheduling depending on project needs and deadlines. We will work with class schedules and other obligations the intern may have.

Skills / Requirements

Students must be receiving course credit for the internship

Proven experience with Microsoft Office programs
