Meals on Wheels is growing and looking for professional, customer service friendly individuals to join our team. We are looking for dedicated individuals, for part-time positions. 

Job Description

Our drivers support our daily operations to deliver meals. This Driver position is responsible for the delivery of food and other supplies from the main kitchen and offices to outlying Meals on Wheels Central Texas (MOWCTX) sites and scheduled county congregate sites. This position interfaces with volunteers and host site staff and may be required to respond to unexpected situations in a professional manner. A commercial driving license is not required.

We are seeking dependable and friendly people with excellent interpersonal communication skills who are dedicated to our mission. 

Hours: 8:00am - 2:30pm. 32 hours per week, M-F (no weekends). 

Pay rate: $15.50 hourly.

Skills & Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year work experience
  • Must be dependable and exercise good judgement
  • Regular and dependable attendance
  • Ability to understand directions and work with minimal supervision
  • Professional and courteous
  • Valid Texas driver's license with good driving record
  • Insurable driver under MOWCTX’s insurance policy (required)
  • Verifiable references
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
